Israel Import Restrictions

In order to enter Israel, certain goods are subject to specific controls and, regardless of their value and quantity, they require the consent of Israel government, preferably, license must be obtained prior to passage through the customs, preventing the goods from being retained. The addressee must provide an import licence for all types of goods except immigrant’s personal effects and gifts. Commercial goods require an invoice attached either to the outside of the article or to the customs documentation. An invoice on any item speeds customs clearance.
