Greece Import Restrictions

In order to enter Greece, certain goods are subject to specific controls and, regardless of their value and quantity, they require the consent of Greece government, preferably, license must be obtained prior to passage through the customs, preventing the goods from being retained. On this page, you will see what kinds of items are prohibited from entering the Greece, and which items need special documentation before exporting to Greece.

Special documentation

Used Clothing

Used clothing, dress materials, footwear, old papers and packing materials require a Certificate of Disinfection.
Commercial goods

Many commercial goods require the addressee to hold an import licence. Senders must attach a commercial invoice to customs documentation. Greece grants duty-exemption for items when their value does not exceed 35 EUR.
