Togo houses
Togo houses are built as a fortress-style housing. The housing is
generally composed of several towers, each tower having two storeys.
In each block, there are two rooms: an upper level bedroom and a
lower stockroom for the storage of food and daily necessities. There
is a connection between the tower walls, forming a strong fortress.
The partition wall between the middle of the two towers has a door
leading to the estate of the inner court. If there is a foreign
invasion, people with strong fortresses and long-term storage of
food survive.
