Senegal
Senegal - country of peanut
Republic of Senegal in west Africa, the most protruding. The full
name of the Republic of Senegal. So named because of the Senegal
River. 1 96 700 square km area. Population of 10.1 million, mainly
Wolof tribe, other Pall family, thank Ler family and more than 20
tribes. The official language is French, and Wolof. Residents are
Muslim. CFA franc currency. Dakar (Dakar).

National Flag

Senegal flag of green, yellow and red shows the traditional
pan-African colors. Green symbolizes agriculture, plants and
forests. Yellow symbolizes the rich natural resources: Red
symbolizes the struggle for independence and the green five-pointed
star is a symbol of African freedom.
History
In the 10th century, Ler Tektronix Luwang Guo library was
established. Between the 14th and 16th centuries it was part of the
Ru Mali Songhai Empire. It became a French colony in 1864. In 1909,
it was assigned to French West Africa. In November 1958, it became a
"French community" in the "autonomous republic." On April 4, 1959,
with the Sudan (now Mali) it formed the Mali Federation. After
negotiations, the French allowed the Mali Federation into the
community in April 1960. On June 20, 1960, the Mali Federation
declared its independence. In the same year in August, Senegal
seceded from the union, and set up as an independent republic.
Economic and Cultural Customs
Senegal is an agricultural country, with a high volume of peanut
production and export. Every peanut harvest season, local people
hold a "peanut-base" game. Competition began, participants were head

Rose Lake
This is located about 40 km northeast of Dakar and is an area of

crust. The lakes region has low rainfall, and the water evaporated
quickly. The proportion of up to 35%, salt precipitation in the lake

Senegal, this will be the main supply base of salt.
Gorée Island
Gorée Island is located in the southeast coastal waters, and is
famous for the island's "Slave Castle." "Slave Castle," was built on
Yi Island, the Atlantic Ocean side of the mine, 200 years ago by
western colonial who witnessed the slave trade. Castle for the wood
and the stone structure are on the upper and lower floors. The upper
floor is the slave traders' housing, and the lower cells held
slaves, with an underground passage to the sea. More than 2000
million black slaves were trafficked from here to America.
