Panama - World Bridge
The Republic of Panama is located in the Central American isthmus,
covering an area of 75,500 square kilometers. I has a population of
3.12 million, 65% of whom are Mestizo, with the remaining percent
primarily white, black, and Indian. Residents are Catholic and
Spanish is the official language. The currency is the U.S. dollars
Papua, and the capital is Panama City.

National Flag

The lag of Panama is broken down into four smaller rectangles, two
of which are white, with the remaining two red and blue. white
denotes peace, with red and blue respectively representing the
Liberal Party and Conservative Party of Panama. The presence of
these two colors could also be said to represent the two parties
fighting together for the nations’s best interests. Two five-pointed
stars symbolize loyalty and strength.
History
In l501, Panama was colonized by Spain, later becoming part of the
Republic of Colombia in 1821. On November 3, 1903, the United States
supported Panama’s fight for independence from Colombia. That same
year, the United States and Pakistan embarked upon negotiations for
the construction of the Panama Canal by the United States in winter
around the United States to obtain permanent construction and
operation of the Canal and the Canal Zone monopoly permanent use,
occupation and control. In 1904, work started on the construction of
the canal, which was completed in 1914. Pakistani hand in September
1977, the United States signed the "new canal treaty." On October 1,
1979, granted entry into force, valid until 51 December 1999 date.
After the expiry of the new treaty, the Canal by the Palestinian
commitment to fight horse management and defense.
Economy and Cultural Customs
Panama’s economy is dominated by agriculture, with 50% of the
population engaged in such work, primarily the production of
bananas, sugar cane, coffee, and rice. Around 70% of the country is
covered in forest, with timber resources, particular mahogany,
cedar, palm, and rubber, prolific. Panama also enjoys abundant
marine resources, with the sea providing important export products.
The Panama Canal Zone is a regional financial center, and the Colon
Free Trade Zone and the merchant fleet are some of the major pillars
of Panama's economy.
Panama Contadora Island is famous for producing the finest pearls.
Panama farmers, both men and women, are linked to a shoulder to do
with plant fibers from Guabao, known locally as "akcakara."
Panama Canal
Construction of the Panama Canal started in 1904 and was completed
in 1914. It has facilitated communication between the Pacific and
Atlantic, opening up an international route between the two, where
previously journeying from one to the other had taken an extra 126
million meters. The canal has a length of 81.3 kilometers, a width
of 304 meters at its widest, a depth of 26.5 meters at its deepest,
and a total of six gates. It has a navigable capacity of about 50
ships, and the cargo that passes through it accounts for 5% of the
world's sea cargo. The Panama Canal is a great miracle in the
history of human transportation.
