Niger
Niger - Monkey cow town
The Republic of Niger is located in the southern Sahara, and means
‘black river.’ An area of 1,267,000 square kilometers contains a
population of 11.4 million, with the Hausa tribe comprising the
majority of the population (53%). Other tribes include the Tuareg
and the Kanu. The majority of the population are Muslim, and the
official language is French. The currency is the CFA franc and the
capital is Niamey.

National Flag

The flag of Niger symbolizes the desert through the use of orange,
with white depicting purity, and green denoting a rich and beautiful
land, as well as love and hope. The circle in the middle not only
represents the sun but also the people of Niger, protecting their
rights at the expense of desire.
History
7-16 century, the Northwest is Songhai of Niger. 8-18 century, the
eastern empire is bornu. In the 18th century, the Pall Pall Empire
was established, and in 1904 Niger became part of the French West
Africa territories, later becoming a French colony in 1922. In 1957
the country achieved semi-autonomous status, and in December, 1958,
became a French Community in the autonomous republic. In July, 1960,
Niger left the French Community, and on August 3 formal independence
was declared.
Geography
Topography from north to south, The desert covers approximately 60%
over the central plateau. Chad basin area low and flat, 500 meters
above sea level. South in the Sahara Desert to savannah transition
zone, geographically known as the Sahel belt. The average annual
temperature above 30°C, is one of the world's hottest. The most
southern part average rainfall of 900 mm, 20 mm in the northern
desert only.
Economy and Cultural Customs
Niger’s economy is dominated by agriculture, with the main crops
being wheat, sorghum, corn, peanuts, and cotton, with cattle, sheep,
camels and horses also integral to the economy. Wool and sheepskin
are traditional exports, and red goat Pew is considered extremely
precious. Specialty "monkeys cow" on his neck sarcoma containing

reserves of uranium in the world.
The Tuareg are a semi-nomadic tribe living in Niger's northern

with grass or palm leaves.
The town of Agadez, situated between the central desert and the
tropical wilderness oasis on the town's main stronghold of Tuareg
pastoral areas. The city center has a square tapered clay tower,
past the desert caravan of the lighthouse, and witnessed the rise
and fall of Agadez 500 years ago.
