From the 15th to the 18th century, the Dutch, Portuguese, and
British invaded and colonized Namibia; the country saw a total of
190 years of German occupation. In 1915, after victory in the First
World War, South Africa seized occupation of what was then West
South Africa, which was later renamed Namibia in 1968 by the United
Nations General Assembly. In 1977, the UN Security Council
terminated the commission of South Africa to Namibia and supported
its inclusive independence. On March 21, 1990, Namibia declared
independence.
Economy and Cultural Customs

largest producers of diamonds and uranium It also has one of the
richest coastal fisheries in the world. As such, mining and fishing,
along with animal husbandry, are the three economic pillars of
Namibian society.
Satisfied demand in Zambia a unique desert plant "hundred leaves",
which is the Tertiary endemic plant residues, the "living fossil" of
the title. Another called "Chitose blue" very rare desert plants.
Etosha Park hunting
In northern Namibia there is a natural dried lake, which is no
longer inhabitable due to a white layer of salt. Every December at
the beginning of the rainy season, rain water collects in the area,
leaving seeds to germinate and grow, resulting in an abundance of
greenery which attracts tens of thousands of animals. When the dry
season returns in May, the land again returns to a dead silence.
